Birthplace of the Saxophone Inventor
The woodwind instrument called the 'saxophone' was indeed invented by Belgian musical instrument designer Antoine-Joseph "Adolphe" Sax. Born in Dinant, Belgium, Sax followed in his father's footsteps and patented his invention dubbed the 'saxophone' in 1846 while living in Paris.

World's Capital of Comic Capers
No country in the world produces more comic books than Belgium, in particular the french-speaking Wallonies. In fact, there's even a comic book museum paying tribute to the Belgians' love of comics.

Beer, Chocolate and Diamonds
Belgium produces some 800 different kinds of beer, 220,000 tons of chocolate per year, and negotiates and distriutes 90 percent of the world's diamonds in Antwerp.
